CRY Optimizer · Version History
Changelog — what actually shipped.
What actually shipped in CRY. CRY is in active beta, so this list will keep growing.
Current: v1.1 BETA · Last updated: June 15, 2026
CRY is in active beta, so behavior can shift between builds. Constants across builds: every change is shown verbatim, a System Restore point is made first, and there is no telemetry and no phone-home.
v1.1 BETA — June 15, 2026
The first public beta of CRY Optimizer for Windows 10 & 11 (64-bit), shipped as a single portable .exe with no installer. It launches non-elevated and only requests Administrator at the moment you apply a change that needs it — and you can cancel with no side effects.
Added
- Tweaks across six categories — Privacy, Performance, Gaming, Network, Bloatware and Startup, where every card shows the exact registry key, service, or command (old to new) before it runs.
- One-click Apply & revert — stage a selection, pass the review gate, then undo any change per-tweak, per-session, or all at once.
- Live dashboard — real CPU and memory readouts (PDH counters) and sparklines, system info (processor, graphics, memory), and a Safety / System Restore card.
- Presets — save a selection as a named preset, or export and share it as a portable
cryset: code; paste a cryset: code to import (it still goes through the same review gate).
- Smarter App Installer — detects what you already have and marks it "Installed", covering Browsers, Developer tools, and Media apps.
- History — per-tweak undo, backed by a local change log of every applied change.
Safety
- System Restore point — created before CRY applies anything, so a whole session can be rolled back in one step.
- Append-only local change log — under
%LOCALAPPDATA%\CryOptimizer, recording each applied tweak and its previous value, so undo restores the exact prior state. It never leaves your PC.
Notes
- This is a beta — expect changes, occasional rough edges, and tweaks being added, relabeled, or refined between builds.
- No telemetry — CRY has no self-telemetry and never phones home; nothing about your machine or your changes is uploaded.
- Some Startup changes need a sign-out or restart to fully take effect; CRY labels these clearly.
Earlier builds
Earlier internal builds of CRY were used for development and testing only and were never publicly released, so they are not listed here. v1.1 BETA above is the first public release.
